Editorial Policy
This policy governs how Football Instant reports, writes and publishes. It applies to every story on the site, from a thirty second score update to a long transfer investigation.
Accuracy first, speed second
Our promise is in the name: instant. But a fast wrong story helps nobody. Every fact we publish must be verifiable at publication time, and where certainty varies we say so in plain language. Scores come from official sources. Transfer stories carry sourcing language that matches their reliability.
Sourcing
We prefer named, primary sources: clubs, leagues, governing bodies, players and their representatives. Where reporting relies on credible journalists or outlets, we credit and link them. Anonymous sourcing is used sparingly and only when the information is significant and the source position is strong. Reading both the English and Spanish football press is standard practice here, and cross language verification is one of our edges.
Analysis and opinion
Analysis is clearly presented as analysis. It is informed by coaching experience, including work at licensed youth level, and we show our reasoning rather than hiding behind hot takes.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by editors. Advertisers and partners have no influence over coverage, and commercial content is always labelled.
Fairness
When reporting affects a person or club materially, we seek their side. We correct errors quickly and visibly under our corrections policy.
