Daniel Yanez Stays at Real Madrid After the Summer Window

Daniel Yanez is still a Real Madrid player after the 2026 summer window closed on September 1 with no sale. Clubs in Spain, France, Belgium and Italy had tracked the 19-year-old winger through July, and journalist Ben Fernandes Santos said a departure was possible while the club priced his rise.

On September 8 he scored twice as Real Madrid’s under-19s beat Inter 3-0 at the Alfredo Di Stefano, seven days after that deadline.

Suitors From Four Countries Never Put a Bid In

Fernandes Santos, writing on July 23, said the left-footed wide attacker had become a target for top-flight sides in those four countries and that talks had not yet become bids. The post that carried the claim sat on his account the same day.

That picture of European clubs tracking him in July never turned into a completed move. Madrid’s own outgoing list that window ran through Gonzalo Garcia, Cesar Palacios, Fran Garcia, Mario Martin and Fran Gonzalez, among others. Yanez was not on it.

Como had already spent Madrid money in June on Nico Paz, which left Italy’s loudest academy shopper with a different receipt. A spring link of Como to La Fabrica attackers never became a Yanez filing. The clubs that watched him through July ran into a price Madrid did not have to take.

The Right Wing Madrid Bought From Leipzig

On August 6, while that Yanez file was still a rumor, Madrid announced Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The Ivory Coast winger is 19, the same age, and he is being used on the right side of the senior attack, the lane Yanez had only visited as a substitute.

The club’s own notice ties him for seven seasons until June 2033. Figures attached to the Leipzig sale put the guaranteed fee at €125 million, with add-ons that can take the package to €140 million.
